Dr. Markve has been with the University of Northern Colorado for 11 years in varying capacities with experience in college teaching, training development and training delivery. He has served with the Region 8 TACE since inception as a technical assistance and continuing education specialist. In this capacity he has delivered numerous customized online and face-to-face trainings to local, regional and national audiences. Matt has training and experience employing advanced research methods with human subjects including multivariate, regression and path analyses for consultation and authorship. Matt manages a number of aspects of our distance delivery systems at the UNC site including electronic registration, conducting online surveys, Blackboard and Blackboard Collaborate LMS management, and Section 508 compliance issues. Dr. Markve is a co-facilitator of the TACE 8 internal quality assurance team, and a certified quality improvement associate through the American Society for Quality. Prior to his work at UNC, Matt has worked as a substance abuse counselor, a job coach and in the transitional residential setting serving people with developmental disabilities. His areas of expertise include quality assurance, ethics, substance use and abuse, counseling theories and techniques, developmental disabilities, and rural issues in rehabilitation service delivery. Matt earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of New Mexico, an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado and a Ph.D. in Human Rehabilitation at UNC.
